Bloom is a collection of film photographs that was exhibited in a solo exhibition in 2017.

This collection is an expression of self-love. It is about understanding that we are all different, and uniquely so – but that’s where the beauty lies. We have our own strengths and weaknesses; our own likes and dislikes; hobbies and interests; habits and routines; our own measure of perfection – and like budding flowers, we each have our time to bloom.

This collection is an appreciation of all the beauty that lies within and around us – sometimes in places we least expect. It is about trusting that there will be a time and place where all the pieces just fall into place. It is about knowing we each have our own pace.

I hope this collection inspires you to be determined and fearless – to focus on your passions and dreams, and let nothing come in the way of that. So be resilient, be courageous, have faith, love immensely and bloom.

“A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms.”
Zen Shin

Photographs were taken on 35mm film.
The 'bloom' logo was hand lettered, and a template was printed out to paint the wall mural.
