Hello – and welcome!
My name is Emily Ung – I am a film photographer, poet, hand letterer and visual communication designer based in Melbourne, Australia.
This site is dedicated to my photography, poetry, projects and musings – for me to document and share my growing repertoire of analogue film photographs and literary pieces, as well as my design work and passion projects.
I am passionate about conceptual design that is meaningful and evocative; design that will spark connection and affect change. I possess a sensitivity for materiality and detail, and my perfectionism is both a blessing and a curse.
I have always been awed by the way poets string together the simplest of words to convey complexity, and I aspire to capture the ephemeral and universal through my words and images. Above all, I hope my work connects and resonates with you at some level – where I could possibly put into words the thoughts you are unable to articulate.
